Crockpot Frozen Hamburger Steak with Gravy

Are you like me and have half a bag of frozen hamburger patties leftover in the freezer left over from grilling season? If so, I have the perfect easy, affordable recipe for you! Only 4 ingredients and 4 easy steps!

There is nothing glamorous about this recipe and it won't win any beauty contests, but it is tasty and super easy to get on the table. You can serve it over egg noodles or over mashed taters. I made the bare bones version but I encourage you to make it your own by adding some caramelized onions, mushrooms or garnish with green onions/chopped parsley to try to make it pretty... whatever floats your gravy boat!

Crockpot Frozen Hamburger Steaks with Gravy Recipe

Ingredients:

1 can of Cream of Mushroom or Cream of Chicken Soup (If you don't want to use processed soup, this would be a great time to use leftovers of my Homemade Cream of Chicken Soup if you made it!)

1 Packet of Brown Gravy Mix

1 3/4 Cups of Milk

4 Frozen Hamburger Patties

Instructions:

1. Spray cooking spray on bottom and sides of crockpot or use a crockpot liner.

2. Place 4 frozen hamburger patties on bottom of crockpot.

3. Mix soup, gravy packet and milk in a bowl. Pour over frozen burger patties.

4. Cook on high for 3 hours or on low for 5-6 hours.

NOTE: If you like your gravy a little thicker, add a cornstarch slurry at the end of cooking time and cook another 10 minutes.  To make the slurry, take about 1/4 of the gravy out of the crockpot and mix it with 2 or 3 tablespoons of cornstarch.  When thoroughly mixed, add back into the crockpot and stir.

Enjoy!
